Summit School Day Camp

A place for friendship, fun and engagement for five weeks

every summer.

Summit School offers a fun-filled, five week summer day camp program to students who attend Summit School throughout the year. . Campers are grouped by age and social level and each group has at least two counselors. Many of our counselors are experienced staff from Summit School, or staff that return year after year.

Weeks are each given a different theme and the campers participate in a variety activities related to that theme. Activities include daily swimming at the community pool, outings to beaches, as well as outdoor sports, dances, pajama parties, bowling, mini putt, BBQ’s, colour war, air bouncers, baking and much more. The goal of Summit School's Day Camp is to provide a fun-filled summer within a safe context.

Transportation is available in most areas on the island of Montreal. However, there are restrictions in certain areas of the city.  Summer Camp applications are sent home in February, and you can aslo access them here. The earlier you register the likelier your child will secure a spot at camp.

Summit School Summer Camp is a day camp that runs for the students of Summit School. However, there are no support staff and many of the camp counsellors are not the same employees that work throughout the year.  The camp runs out of the main campus, but campers are swimming and on outings daily.  Therefore, due to safety concerns, not every student who attends Summit School is able to attend the Summer Camp. Forms are sent home to families of those students who it is felt can manage at camp with no extra support. If a teacher, psychologist, educational consultant or behaviour technician, feels that the camp would be too risky for a particular student or the student requires a one to one in the community, then the Social Worker can try and suggest another Summer Program that will offer one to one.
